D-M-E offers a selection of housing types to fit application demands. A one-piece welded housing is available for customers requiring maximum rigidity and robust durability. For maximum flexibility of configuration options, a three-piece housing is also available.

Three Piece Housings

Three-Piece Housings are available in #1 and #7 steels and the following riser heights:

2.5", 3.0", 3.5", 4.0", 4.5", 5.0", 5.5" and 6.0"

Three-Piece Housings can be configured with a bottom clamp plate in any of the following thicknesses:

0.875", 1.375", 1.875", 2.375", 2.875", 3.375", 3.875", 4.875" and 5.875"

Welded Housings
Welded Housings are available in #1 steel and the following riser heights:

2.5", 3.0", 3.5", 4.0" and 4.5"

Welded Housings are provided with a bottom clamp plate of 0.875" for mold bases up to 1935. For 2424, 2429 and 2435 mold bases, a 1.375" thick bottom clamp plate is provided in the welded housing.
