Today’s molders and moldmakers face unprecedented demands for speed, cost reduction and performance. Every day, they’re pressed to find new ways to do more with less.

And every day, D-M-E is an essential resource in helping these companies succeed.

Customers around the world count on D-M-E for mold bases and components, hot runner systems, mold controls, our Master Unit Die (MUD) mold inserts, die cast tooling technology—and all the supporting resources that come with our products.

We complement the broadest range of market-leading products with unsurpassed knowledge and expertise—the kind that can only come from more than six decades of helping thousands of customers of all sizes solve their toughest challenges on the shop floor. We’ve developed a logistics infrastructure that ensures speed and accuracy across the order-to-shipment continuum. We’ve built a support organization unrivaled for its ability to help customers when and where they need help. And, we continue to strengthen our presence in locations around the world.

In 1942, Ted Quarnstrom founded Detroit Mold Engineering (today’s D-M-E Company) to provide mold bases in standard sizes, ready for machining of the cavity. It’s an innovation that other suppliers have followed ever since. Today, D-M-E has the industry’s broadest line of mold technology products and services.

D-M-E is currently developing a new generation of products and systems that will give customers new strengths to compete in a rapidly changing global marketplace. Working with our parent company, Milacron, we’re also bringing customers new insights into their processing-related concerns.

Now more than ever, customers count on D-M-E for essential support that other suppliers simply can’t provide. We’ve been helping our customers meet the challenges of the marketplace for more than 60 years, and they know we’ll continue to stand with them every step of the way.
