Customer Question
We
produce rigid PVC door interiors and are having a problem removing the
flash after molding. For years we used utility knives with conventional
blades but are phasing them out for safety reasons. We are currently
using abrasive pads to remove the flash but they leave very unsightly
scratches in the finish. Do you have any suggestions to solve our
problem?
Solution
The
Ceramix deflashing tool from D-M-E Moulding Supplies will remove the
flash leaving a scratch free finish but more importantly they do not
pose danger to your operators. Despite the fact that the tool looks
like a utility knife, it is practically impossible for the heavy duty
ceramic blade to cut an operator using one. The blade itself offers
three separate cutting areas, so finding one that suits your particular
