The boomers are retiring. Students are shying away from manufacturing disciplines. Clearly, the plastics industry is facing a major human resources challenge.

As an essential resource to our customers, DME is committed is taking action. We’re offering grants and scholarships to our customers for continuing education and to students for plastics-related degree programs—an extension of the popular DME Plastics University created to aid new plastics industry students and professionals.

The time is now to take advantage of these funds. Fill out and return one of the application forms below. Or tell a friend who’s eager to advance their career at the leading edge of mold technology.


Continuing Education Support

DME offers awards of $1,000 each for continuing education support.

Eligibility: Applicants must be employed by a current DME customer; course must be in the plastics industry.

Next Deadline: July 15 for courses beginning between August and December 2010

Student Scholarship Program

We’re awarding student scholarships of $1,000 each.

Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in a plastics program at any accredited trade school/university with a 2-year certificate, 2-year associate or 4-year bachelor’s degree program

Next Deadline: July 30 for consideration for the Fall 2010 semester. Winners will be notified by mail beginning Aug. 15.
