DME Named in Quality Magazine’s Quality Leadership 100
Company ranks among best manufacturers based on quality standards, quality training, other criteria
Madison Heights, Mich. – DME Company, a leading manufacturer of mold technologies, has been named to this year’s Quality Leadership 100 by Quality magazine. This recognition validates DME’s commitment to making quality a high-level priority in all aspects of its operations.
Each year, Quality magazine surveys companies throughout the country to recognize and rank those with the best quality practices. This year, the Quality Leadership 100 were chosen from more than 400 finalists. Manufacturers were evaluated on criteria including:
- scrap and rework as a percentage of sales
- warranty costs as a percentage of sales
- rejected parts per million shipped
- contribution of quality to profitability and shareholder value
- number of quality programs in place
- registration to various standards
- percentage of employees dedicated to quality responsibilities
- average number of hours monthly that employees receive quality training
- the role quality professionals play in the acquisition of test, measurement and inspection tools, software and services
